What is Linux ? I just thought that persons visiting this sight may be looking for an explanation as to what Linux is.

Linux is an open source operating system. i.e. An operating system is a computer program that makes the computer work. The prime example of this is Microsoft's XP, Vista or widows 7.</description>

        <description>The Redditch and Bromsgrove Linux User Group was set up by David Goodwin, so that people with an interest in the use of the Linux Operating system could meet up socially, to discuss Linux and help each other with their computer problems.

Meetings have always been somewhat random, but at a recent meeting it was decided to fix a date in order to make meetings more regular. With the venue alternating between Redditch and Bromsgrove.</description>
